Butterfly valve installation matters

Butterfly valves are simple in structure, small in size, and light in weight. They have relatively few components; a few key parts constitute the valve. Opening is also convenient; simply turn the switch to ninety degrees. Butterfly valves offer excellent flow control, allowing for easy increases or decreases in flow rate. While all valves present some resistance to fluid flow, the resistance in a butterfly valve primarily comes from the valve itself, such as the thickness of the valve body. To reduce fluid resistance, simply reduce the thickness.
Elastic seals have the drawback of being temperature-sensitive.
Butterfly valves have a wide range of applications. Selecting the appropriate type and valve body size is crucial for flow control, as butterfly valves are inherently well-suited for larger diameter applications. They are widely used not only in general industries such as petroleum, gas, chemical, and water treatment, but also in the cooling water systems of thermal power plants.
